Course Description: This course is designed to give participants the knowledge and skills
necessary to recognize medical emergency and to provide basic care for injuries and
sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. The course will
focus on universal precautions, burns, sprains, splinting, how to control bleeding,
seizures, injury assessment, shock management, wounds and bandages. How to handle
medical emergencies until advanced care arrives.
Method of instruction: Hands-on, presentation, supplemented by: Audio/visual aids.
Participant’s performance and written Test is required.
