Course Description: This course is designed for employees whose job functions include: grounds
maintenance or outdoor responsibilities, essential for a safe working environment. The course will focus
on: Safe handling and operation of powered tools and equipment, such as: chain saws mowers, tractors,
and working near energized electrical lines. The course will also discuss insect stings, snake bites,
exposure to poisonous plants and Personal Protective Equipment.
Method of Instruction: Power Point Presentation, supplemented by: Audio/Visual Aids.
