Course Title: Machine and Machine Guard Safety

Modern machinery comes in a variety sizes and it can present many different types of
hazards. Each year thousands of employees across this country suffered injuries by these
machines that they are very familiar with. The risk of accidents from powered driven
machinery is so great that it draws the attention of OSHA.
Course Description: This course is designed to give employees a better understand of the
dangers of working with machines. Annually thousands of employees in this country
suffered injuries from machines that they are very familiar with. Lack of machine guarding
is one of the frequent safety violations in the industry. The course will focus on basic
machine operations, fixed guards, interlock devices, drive chains and belts and other
safety factors.
Method of instruction: Power Point Presentation, supplemented by: Audio/Visual Aids.
